Jasmine Shory is a skilled litigator who has advocated for clients across complex legal matters in Alberta at the Court of Justice and Court of King’s Bench, in British Columbia’s Provincial and Supreme Courts, and before various arbitral and administrative tribunals. Whether navigating complex business litigation or helping clients resolve sensitive family matters, Jasmine offers thoughtful, strategic advocacy.
Jasmine is focused on developing a family law practice that includes assisting clients with issues ranging from divorce and child custody to property division involving business assets and support arrangements. Her goal is to help families achieve equitable solutions while preserving their relationships and financial well-being, whether that includes resolving disputes amicably or litigating in court when necessary. Jasmine strives to bring about meaningful and lasting results for her clients.
Having previously worked at large, national, and multinational firms in both Calgary and Vancouver, Jasmine draws on her background in securities, corporate commercial disputes, employment law, professional negligence, and tort liability to provide a comprehensive approach to client’s legal issues. Jasmine completed her legal education at the University of Alberta. She also holds dual degrees in International Business and Political Science from the University of Calgary. Jasmine brings a strong analytical foundation and business acumen to her legal practice.
In the past, Jasmine has acted as an Editorial Board Member and Chairperson of the Alberta Law Review, as President of the Law and Business Association and as Case Worker with the Student Legal Services family and civil law program. Jasmine volunteers with Calgary Legal Guidance and the Civil Claims Duty Counsel Project through Pro Bono Law Alberta.
Outside of work, Jasmine has trained at the Sadhana School of Yoga in Kerala, India, and is a certified teacher with the International Yoga Alliance. Jasmine also enjoys travelling, hiking, and spending time with her dog, Simba.
